5.4 Electricity Price Setting Not Successful

Error message: Please check weekday and weekend periods. They cannot overlap, and the total cannot exceed 24 hours.

For customers using Time-of-Use (TOU) or Ultra-Low Overnight (ULO) electricity rates:

  1. Check Summer and Winter Month Settings:
    • Ensure there is no overlap between the summer and winter months, and that the settings cover all 12 months of the year.
    • Correct Example:
      • Summer: May–September
      • Winter: October–April
    • Incorrect Example (Overlap):
      • Summer: May–September
      • Winter: September–April (September overlaps).
    • Incorrect Example (Missing):
      • Summer: May–September
      • Winter: November–April (October is skipped).
  2. Check Weekday and Weekend Time Periods:
    • Ensure there is no overlap in the time periods and that the settings cover the full 24 hours of the day.
    • Example for Ontario TOU Rates in Winter:
      • Off-Peak: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
      • On-Peak: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
      • Mid-Peak: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
      • Evening: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
    • Input the full schedule and corresponding rates.

For customers using flat electricity rates:

  1. Check Summer and Winter Month Settings:
    • Ensure there is no overlap between the summer and winter months, and that the settings cover all 12 months of the year.
  2. Check Weekday and Weekend Time Periods:
    • Ensure there is no overlap in the time periods and that the settings cover the full 24 hours of the day.
  3. Assign Flat Rates:
    • Since you’re using a flat rate, apply the same rate to all time periods.
